The wine village Ellenz-Poltersdorf consists of two districts and is located on a sliding slope on the left bank of the river Mosel. Guesthouse - winery is located in local road Hauptstraße 17 at Ellenz. Local road Hauptstraße is a street in parallel to the federal road B 49 along the river bank.

Journey by car or motorcycle:

From the direction of Köln / Bonn or Koblenz / Gießen: If coming from north (Köln / Bonn) drive on motorway A 61 in direction of Koblenz / Mainz. Leave motorway A 61 near Mendig (exit 34) and continue on federal road B 262 in direction of Mayen. Near Mayen, follow federal road B 262 in direction of motorway A 48. At following crossroad (driveway 6) enter on motorway A 48 in direction of Trier. If coming from north-east (Koblenz / Gießen), drive on motorway A 48 in direction of Trier. Leave motorway A 48 near Kaisersesch (exit 4) and continue on country road L 98 in direction of Cochem.

At Cochem, after passing the bridge for railways, keep straight over the bridge to the other bank of the river Mosel. At the end of the bridge, follow country road L 98 in direction of Bruttig - Fankel and Senheim. After passing under the bridge before Bruttig, drive onto the bridge and to the other bank of the river Mosel. Enter federal road B 49 in direction of Alf / Trier and follow federal road B 49. At Ellenz leave federal road B 49 into local road Zehnthausstraße and follow local road Hauptstraße to destination.

From the direction of Mainz: If coming from south-east drive on motorway A 61 in direction of Koblenz / Köln. Leave motorway near Rheinböllen (exit 45) to federal road B 50 (E 42) in direction of Trier / airport Hahn.

Near Kirchberg in Hunsrück leave federal road B 50 (E 42) and continue on federal highway B 421 in direction of Zell / Mosel. At the traffic lights at Kappel follow the federal road B 421 straight ahead in direction of Zell / Mosel. At crossroads near Panzweiler follow the federal road B 421 in direction of Zell / Mosel. Before Tellig enter to the country road L 98 in direction of Senheim and follow this country road to Senheim in Mosel-valley. At Senheim follow country road L 98 in direction of Zell. After passing the bridge over the river Mosel, enter the federal highway B 49 in direction of Cochem. At Ellenz leave federal road B 49 into local road Neustraße and follow local road Hauptstraße to destination.

From the direction of Trier: If coming from south drive on motorway A 1 in direction of Köln / Koblenz. Leave motorway A 1 at exit Wittlich-Mitte (exit 125).

At Wittlich follow the federal road B 49 in direction of Zell / Mosel. In further course follow the federal road B 49 along the Alfbach brook to the Mosel-valley. In roundabout at Alf take exit in direction of Cochem and follow the federal road B 49. At Ellenz leave federal road B 49 into local road Neustraße and follow local road Hauptstraße to destination.

Journey by train and bus (using public transport):
Up to Cochem / Mosel or Bullay / Mosel by trains of Deutsche Bahn AG (Moseltalstrecke Koblenz - Trier). Ellenz-Poltersdorf does not have direct access to trains because railway line is going in a tunnel between Ediger-Eller and Cochem. At Cochem or Bullay change to the bus of the local bus operator VRM. Bus line number 711 (Calmont-Express), which shuttles between Bullay and Cochem, drives to Ellenz. The bus stop near our house is called Ellenz Mitte. The distance by feet on local roads Zehnthausstraße and Hauptstraße from the bus stop to destination is about 220 m.

Journey by feet or by bicycle:
Pedestrians and cyclists on the Mosel cycle path walk respectively drive to Ellenz and change there from the cycle path to local road Zehnthausstraße or Neustraße. Both roads lead to local road Hauptstraße which leads to the destination.

Pedestrians and cyclists on the farm tracks and hiking paths around Ellenz reach destination on local roads Schulstraße and Hauptstraße.

Journey by sightseeing boat:
Nearest landing stage for sightseeing boats is located in Beilstein. Switch between Mosel river bank by ferry and walk from camping site between Ellenz-Poltersdorf to Ellenz on the cycle path Mosel. At Ellenz change from the cycle path to local road Neustraße and continue along local road Hauptstraße to the destination.
